Charles Leonard Toomey, 84, peacefully passed away on June 19, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Anne (Clasby) Toomey, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on February 12, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Hayden) Toomey. He was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Holten High School in 1946. Charles went on to Northeastern University where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He had been employed as an electrical engineer for Raytheon for many years in the Missal Division. Charles had nine U.S. Patents and two Trade Secrets. He also taught electronics at the Northern Essex Community College in Andover for many years. Charles also enjoyed spending much of his time in the garden.
He is survived by his wife, Anne and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel, John, William and Richard Toomey.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Friday, June 22, 2012 in St. Richard Parish, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Thursday from 6-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

Mansfield Center, CT — Dr. Charles Austin Lowe, of Mansfield Center, Connecticut, better known to his colleagues, friends and family as “Skip,” passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home in at the age of 69 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 4, 1942 in Gloucester, MA; the son of Charles H. Lowe Jr. and Sara M. Musgrave, and the brother of Robert A. Lowe, all of who predeceased him. He was a direct descent of Thomas Low (1605-1677), who settled in South Ipswich, MA in 1636.

formally of Tewksbury, Richard C. Rodwell, age 74, a longtime resident of Topsfield, died Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
He was born in Medford on June 27, 1937, the son of the late William J. and Lillian C. (Cunningham) Rodwell. He was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Boston College, where he earned a degree in business administration. He taught elementary school in the Tyngsboro and Malden school systems, retiring from the Malden district in 1999 after a 35 year career.
He is survived by a brother, Dr. John D. Rodwell of New Hope, PA, a sister Mary E. Andriolo of Milford and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William J. Rodwell, Jr. and Diane C. Rodwell.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday morning, June 29, 2012 from 9:00AM-10:15AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM on Friday in St. Rose of Lima Parish, Park Street, Topsfield. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Charles was married to his wife June for 62 years and has 3 foster sons. He retired from the Southern California Gas Company after 33 years. He is survived by his sister Shirley and his three foster sons, William, Gary and Michael Kennedy. Charles will forever be remembered for his loving, giving, unselfish spirit by all those who had the honor of knowing him and to all those whose lives he touched.

Charles W. “Dewey” Doucette, a 43 year resident of Wilmington and formerly of Woburn, passed into eternal life on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 76 years old.

Dewey was born in Woburn on December 20, 1935, a son of the late Wilfred Doucette and Lucy (Greco) Doucette. He grew up in Woburn where he attended Woburn Public Schools and graduated from Woburn High School. Dewey owned Charlie’s Auto Body in Wilmington for many years. He was a member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and a frequent golfer at Woburn Country Club.

Dewey is the beloved husband of 57 years to Ruth T. (McKeon) Doucette. He is the devoted father of Susan Camillieri and her husband Charles of Wilmington, Karen Doucette of Newton, Thomas Doucette and his wife Kelly of Wilmington and Lisa Doucette-Bond and her husband James of Wilmington. He is the loving Grandfather to Lauren and Andrew Camillieri and Kaileigh and Michelle Doucette. He is the beloved brother of John Doucette of Florida and Patricia Prater of New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dewey’s Funeral on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Nichols Funeral Home Inc., 187 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington at 10 a.m. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington. Visiting hours Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Charles “Buddy” Fuller, Jr., 74, of Worcester, died Tuesday, July 10th in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judith “Judy” (Currier) Fuller; his son Charles Fuller, III and his fiancée, Jackie Boucher of Worcester; three daughters, Gina Lee Villatico and her husband, Arnold of Webster, Shelly Hokanson and her husband, Scott of Worcester and Lisa Drosidis, and her husband, George of Holden; two sisters, June Devejian of Forest Hills, NY and Irene Towle of Boylston; seven grandchildren, Jason and Joey Vallatico, Taralee and Ashlee Fuller, Jenna Lee Hokanson, and Kosta and Eleni Drosidis; three nieces and three nephews, including his twin nephews William and Robert Towle who were his long time hunting buddies.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Charles Fuller, Sr. and Emma (Early) Fuller. Buddy had owned and operated United Auto Body for many years, until 1990 when he was forced to retire due to his struggle with emphysema. He was a member of the PNI Club and the First Congregational Church, both in Worcester. Mr. Fuller was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.

Calling hours are Thursday, July 12th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The Emphysema and C.O.P.D. Beverly, MA. — Charles F. Bamford Sr., age 85, of Beverly, beloved husband of Elizabeth M. (Steele) Bamford, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, surrounded by his family, on July 11, 2012. He was born, raised and educated in Methuen, MA. He was the son of the late Clifford and Lulu (Falck) Bamford. Charlie served in the United States Navy and Army. After graduating from The University of Massachusetts Amherst he married the love of his life Betty; they shared 60 years of marriage. He worked for 38 years as an insurance underwriter for Mutual Fire Insurance Assoc. in Peabody and was a member of the 25-Year Club for his service to Endicott College in Beverly. He was also involved in Boy Scouts and donated many pints of blood to the Red Cross. After his retirement he worked part-time at Ann & Hope and Stop & Shop. In his spare time he loved to camp, read, eat, fish and putter around outdoors. His greatest love was family gatherings.
